For ALL Couples Getting Married

Fall weddings are upon us and we just can’t get enough of the warm aesthetic they evoke. Especially this wedding captured through the lens of Simply Picturesque. Not only are the mountain views absolutely incredible, but each and every detail was thoughtfully curated by the bride. The floral invitations were painted by the bride’s father and the magnolia leave embellishments were even hand picked from her parent’s farm! Truly a masterpiece for the couple to cherish for years to come. Take a peek at the gallery below.

From Simply Picturesque…Laura and Aleckz met by chance at a his family’s restaurant. An instant attraction lead to a leap of faith with Laura giving him her phone number. With a sweet date the following day- the rest is history! Aleckz didn’t take long to take Laura on a perfect birthday picnic where he popped the question with Laura’s dream ring! She immediately said yes to the man of her dreams! Laura and Aleckz said “I do” at the beautiful Wyndrige Farm in Dallastown, PA in front of all of their family and friends. Laura was a simply stunning bride in her traditional princess wedding gown. She dazzled her friends and family as she walked down the aisle toward her husband to be! With a picturesque Fall mountain view, Lauren and Aleckz promised forever. Their wedding was a true reflection of who they were as a couple- with table numbers based off of their favorite TV show FRIENDS, an original painting from the father-of-the-bride as wedding invites, to the floral chandelier hanging above their sweetheart table- every single detail was designed beautifully with their personalities in mind. This is one fall mountain wedding day that will leave brides feeling inspired and excited for their own wedding!

Our wedding was magical. I’ve always loved Autumn. I think it is the most beautiful time of year! Spring time is a close second, and has so many gorgeous blooms, but the fall time was perfect for both our timeline and our personalities. We decided to incorporate the rich colors of fall- that being burgundy, dark blue, and gold. I honestly think that after the colors were picked, I sort of let them be the “theme” of our wedding. We wanted elegance, evening and give a touch of cozy. As for any other themes? There was a bit of a Friends theme when it came to table names! I named each table after beloved Friends characters!

Our florals were stunning! It was all about our color scheme because my all time favorite flower, the peony, was out of season so I was happy to just give out color scheme to our florist and trust her judgement on which blooms to use. We used florals wherever we could afford! Beautiful bouquets, topping our cake, a floral chandelier, and topping our  whiskey barrels.  As for our tables, I wanted to mix it up! I had our florist bring in the most gorgeous and deep colored fruits to mix in with florals on a long table runner. We used pomegranates, grapes, berries and greenery!

My look was definitely traditional. I felt It was important to me to use my one day to be a princess. So, I went with a lovely full tulle skirt princess style gown. The gown was actually a very light blush skirt and ivory top with lace and a little bit of sparkle. The veil was an easy decision. I found a cathedral veil with lace all the way around and had my mom sew a hair comb in. As for my girls and groomsmen, the girls wore long  burgundy gowns and the guys wore dark blue suits with burgundy ties and chestnut brown dress shoes. It looked so stunning with those mix of colors!

The decorating ideas began to flow fairly effortlessly for me! I love DIY and anything decor. Our venue was absolutely stunning so I did not have to dress it up too much. Flowers were probably the most important decor item to me. I picked those out at the very beginning! As soon as we had a venue, my mom and I went to pick out flowers. I highly recommend Instagram for researching local florists. That’s how I found ours and I loved her! She captured exactly what I wanted. I also knew we needed to bring in some pumpkins since… it was fall! So, we had to pay homage to that adorable part of fall. I bought some whimsical pumpkins at a local stand and brought pumpkins of all sizes to the wedding to line the aisle and stage the reception.
