What do you get when you mix a vibrant color palette, palm leaves, a beach setting for portraits, and fun personalized details at The Sterling Ballroom? A tropical pineapple party that is giving us all the summer feels today, of course! Ashleigh and Jordan incorporated details that gave their wedding a playful feel and you can totally see how much personality these two have. Not to mention, we just love the bride’s lace gown designed by Mikaella Bridal and how the groom decided to wear a modern navy suit with chambray tie, palm leaf pocket square, and palm tree cuff links! Take a peek at all the pretty below and be sure to see more from their wedding day captured through the lens of Limelight Entertainment featured in the latest Spring 2019 edition of Contemporary Weddings Magazine.

From Limelight Entertainment…Ashleigh and Jordan’s wedding was so beautiful and fun at the Sterling Ballroom. Ashleigh was so excited for her day! Her 7 bridesmaids were in awe and so thrilled for her. Dressed in pale mint green T-shirts and palm tree linen tied PJ shorts, the girls helped Ashleigh get all ready for her big day. The mom’s had on these cute T-shirts that read Mother of Bride and Mother of Groom. Everyone looked so amazing!! Jordan gave Ashleigh a gift with a card for her to read before the wedding began. The card read: “I knew I loved you at first lift” which was adorable considering the pair met at a CrossFit Speakeasy in Belmar, NJ. After a few getting ready photographs and chatter, it was time to get Ashleigh in her wedding dress and put her details on. The wedding dress was absolutely beautiful! This mermaid shaped V-neck dress fit Ashleigh like a glove. WOW! She was looking gorgeous all dolled up and ready to get married. Ashleigh had the best tropical details. Golds and the palest of greens were all in her details and noticed throughout the day. Her bouquets were very colorful and contrasted nicely with the pale green floor length dresses the bridal party wore. Ashleigh and Jordan’s tropical theme was very fun and their idea to include palm trees in their details and florals was so creative! Every detail at this wedding was thought about and complimented each others perfectly. Jordan’s pocket square even matched the girls getting ready PJ shorts! It had palm trees and complimented the palm tree tropical theme.

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?
Our wedding was inspired by these ceramic pineapples that we found and fell in love with. From there we went with a tropical vibe with bright pops of color and lots of greenery. The color palette we used started with a sage green that the bridesmaids wore, lots of greenery, pops of peach, coral and pink, and gold accents. Our wedding ceremony was non religious. We wrote our own vows and decided on doing a wine box ceremony.

Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.
We knew we wanted a more casual beach vibe to our wedding, which also included the looks for ourselves. I (Ashleigh) wore a lace dress with a sheer lace top and a v in the back and the front. I also wore a crepe paper hair comb that was created by Harley Rose Studio, it was the perfect addition to the look. I wore nude Sam Edelman heels and crystal earrings. Jordan gave me a Kendra Scott pink and gold bracelet to add to my look. Jordan wore a blue suit with a white shirt, chambray tie, light tan shoes, pineapple socks and a tropical palm inspired pocket square. For his gift, I gave him palm tree cuff links and a brown wooden tie clip to add to the look.

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
Since we were inspired by ceramic pineapples, they became the main focus for the day. We kept collecting them through the wedding planning process in different sizes, shapes, designs and stuck with the colors gold and white. We also decided to use pink and coral felt letter boards for our escort cards table, gift table and bar sign. I glued silk artificial palm and monstera leafs on them to add to the tropical vibe. The escort card sign read “You can find your seat here, but your place is on the dance floor” and the bar sign read “You’ll be my glass of wine, I’ll be your shot of whiskey”. Lauren from Love grace calligraphy made us a wooden welcome sign that I also glued the silk artificial leaves on and she made us a sign that read “always in our hearts” that was placed on a table with pictures of our grandparents in remembrance. The centerpieces were similar to the bouquets with bright pops of colors and monstera leaves in cylinder vases. On the table we had tropical inspired menus that we got on etsy and pineapple chocolates make by a family friend.

What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?
The flowers played a very big part in the overall style of our tropical wedding. We wanted a lot of tropical greenery with white flowers and bold pops of pink, coral and peach. Both the bouquets and centerpieces had these elements in them.

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
The first look was a very special moment for us since we hadn’t seen each other or talked to each other the whole day. It was such a relief after because we felt like we could talk about the day and how excited we were. The most special part of the day was the ceremony and reciting our own personal vows to each other. That was just magical and truly the icing on the cake to the entire day. From there we were very excited to celebrate our marriage!

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
We had a coffee and cordial station held at the end of the night which was a big hit. Being a big coffee lover it seemed like a no brainer. That was one of our favorite parts of the wedding. We also very much enjoyed our outdoor ceremony and the entrances and speeches made by some very important people.
