While it might be hard to jump right into the start of a new week due to the Monday blues, we have a dose of loveliness that will brighten your day and make your Monday evening a little more bearable! We’re starting our week off swooning over this oh-so-pretty wedding that’s full of romance and endless moments of pure joy. From the bride’s preparation to the ceremony and reception at Nanina’s In The Park (that needed a post of its own), Tanya and James’ August nuptials are ones you won’t want to miss!
My dress was a fitted sweetheart neckline, A-line gown designed by Romona Keveza. The dress fit perfect and was a light fabric, which made it excellent for a hot August day. Although the dress itself was pretty plain I wore a “Blossom Veils” belt that was a statement piece and my favorite part of my entire look.
The wedding day began early for the bride and her bridesmaids, who were pampered to perfection with the help of My Cinderella’s Dream. “Mari was easygoing and was able to style my hair and apply my makeup better than I ever dreamed it could be,” noted the bride. Tanya also noted Mari was accommodating when two of her bridesmaids decided to add on additional services. “She did an amazing job, and my girls looked stunning,” added the bride.
We fell in love with St. Teresa’s church when my cousin got married there three years earlier. The church is romantic and breathtaking, which fit our theme perfectly. We ended up moving to the area so it will continue to be our church as our family grows!
How did you two meet? James and I met my freshman and his sophomore year of college when his best friend started dating my best friend. His best friend had a “New years eve-eve party” on December 30th and I attended. I knew James was the one from very early on. He was different from any other guy I had ever met. He would do anything for anyone and he made me incredibly happy. We always had fun together and complimented each other so well.
Tell us about your wedding proposal: James purposed exactly six years from the day we met. Although we had been dating for six years I always mentioned we should go ice skating but we never had the opportunity. He made our first ice skating experience a memorable one after proposing on the ice at Rockefeller Center in New York City!
