For ALL Couples Getting Married

When wedding imagery from Heyn Photography sails on into our inbox, we always know we’re going to be in for a real swoon-worthy treat. And this New Jersey wedding right here? Well, it evokes classic elegance with a subtle touch of nautical inspiration. Each and every detail is just so pretty! The bride’s Augusta Jones gown, the groom’s traditional style, the neutral florals and the bridesmaid’s one-shoulder dresses in the perfect shade of blue are just a few of the details to look out for. Not to mention, The Oyster Point Hotel—offering waterfront views of the Navesink River in Red Bank—proved to be the ideal setting for Katie and Eric’s classic and nautical wedding. See our favorite moments captured by Heyn Photography and then be sure to watch the couple’s wedding teaser highlight film from Michael Simons Productions below.

From Heyn Photography…Katie and Eric first met in middle school. A very good friend of his and hers were brother and sister, so they would often hangout at the same house. Their first kiss was on the front steps of a restaurant in Belmar, NJ called Rajun Cajun. Ten years of dating later, they would go back to the restaurant from time to time making sure to always stop on the front step for a kiss. One Saturday night they stopped on the steps and Eric got down on one knee! The overall wedding vibe was inspired by Earth Wind and Fire’s Dancing in September. Since it was a Friday night and the end of the summer the couple wanted it to be classic by maintaining formal and traditional elements, while still having fun. The guys looked so great with the tuxes and suspenders and Katie thought that was a great compliment to the girls’ gowns. One thing that Eric picked out was the monogrammed suspenders and it looked amazing. What was important to the couple was good food, good drinks, and great music. Their band knocked it out of the park and had everyone dancing all night. Katie and Eric really loved that they stuck with a neutral color pallet because it’s not something that will go out of style. Eric’s aunt is a wedding florist so they really had the opportunity to play with the flowers and go big with her huge bouquet and the tall overflowing centerpieces. She was an awesome help with using the flowers to tie everything together. The couple used ivory garden roses and light blue succulents along with dusty blue long ribbon on the girls bouquets.
