What’s red, white, and sparkly all over? This New Jersey wedding, of course! Nicole and Joel were all about a classic and romantic style for their elegant ballroom wedding at The Palace at Somerset. Think soft blush paired with gold and burgundy, nodes to their favorite Disney fairy tales, an emotional first look, and so much love all under one roof. Idalia Photography captured it all on camera and is sharing their wedding day below.
From Idalia Photography…After meeting these newlyweds last year for their fall Princeton engagement photos, I knew their wedding was going to be full of raw emotion, beautiful details, and classic elegance. I was 100% right because Nicole and Joel’s gorgeous Palace at Somerset fall wedding included all of these things, and more. These two have known each other since they were kids, but really started hanging out in high school. Joel surprised Nicole with an incredible Magic Kingdom proposal in their favorite place, Disney World, and then they began to plan their own fairytale day. Taking inspiration from their favorite Disney love stories, they envisioned a classic wedding day to celebrate their first day as husband and wife and chose The Palace at Somerset Park as their venue. It was a perfect location for their wedding. From the beautiful grounds for their portraits to the elegant staircase as a backdrop for their ceremony to the high ceilings and elegant chandeliers for their jaw-dropping reception, every detail was perfect. Not to mention their fall color palette of burgundy, peach, blush, and gold, which brought together Nicole and Joel’s wedding day beautifully. My favorite part of the day is tied between Nicole and Joel’s emotional first look and their amazing reception complete with La Hora Loca performers that created such a fun ambiance at their reception. This was definitely a wedding for the books and a great way to close out my November weddings!
My husband chose his wedding day look because he wanted a crisp, polished and classic tux. Something timeless that we would always love when looking back on pictures. I wanted my wedding day look to represent my love for glamorous hair and makeup. I Choose a sparkly blinged out dress that was nothing like I’ve seen before.
We wanted our wedding to be classic,elegant & romantic. We used a color palette of soft blush & rich gold and burgundy tones for the perfect mix of soft romantic beauty and elegance. Our venue was flowing with gorgeous florals from our amazing floral designer. Our ceremony was candlelit with a beautiful arch & custom aisle runner, overflowing with flower petals
We wanted our wedding to be glamorous but also a non stop party for our guests from start to finish. Our table centerpieces in the ballroom were decked with layered centerpieces of different heights. The focal points of the ballroom was our beautiful sweetheart table with a crystal overhang and our monogrammed white dance floor.
