For ALL Couples Getting Married

When the bride, groom, bridesmaids, and groomsmen are having this much fun during photos, you know the wedding is going to be pretty exceptional! Add in a long-sleeved lace bridal gown designed by Pronovias, mismatched Adriana Papell bridesmaid dresses, one stunning waterside location, romantic florals, and details that paid homage to the couple’s relationship. The bride brought in her beach bike to display at the ceremony and the couple even served guests apple cider donuts and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (to reflect their family-run franchise business) at the end of the night. Luckily, Jaye Kogut Photography was there throughout the day’s events capturing all the pretty on camera. See all the details that make this wedding timeless below!

From Jaye Kogut Photography…This elegant wedding by the sea in Point Pleasant, NJ was FULL of incredible details and even bigger surprises! From the groom arriving via boat, to the amazing Gloria Gaynor showing up to sing, this wedding was one for the books!

“The Shore” was the inspiration for our wedding day. My husband and I had dated for about ten years when our wedding day was being planned. We met at “home” in somerset county although we were different ages and went to different schools. Come to find out that we lived only a mile or two down the road from one another, and then to find out that our families both had homes at the shore. Before we has our license to drive to visit one another, we both had our boating license. We traveled for years over the water to spend summers together. It’s our special place. When the day came to begin planning our wedding, we wanted to share what we felt made our relationship so special with everyone we love. Thus we found Clarks Landing! It’s hard not to be inspired by the elegance of Clarks. Like our relationship, we wanted our wedding to be timeless. We chose natural soft colors, whites, beige, champagnes and carried that elegance and timelessness throughout every detail of our wedding. My husband in his midnight navy tux, the boys in black tuxes, and our ladies in mismatched champagne gowns. We rented a home to celebrate the rehearsal dinner and invited the entire wedding party to stay and enjoy the place where we fell in love!

I had a vision of lots of greenery and champagne. I envisioned little single bud vases hung from the pergola where we were to say I do. I saw my beach bike out front with flowers inviting everyone in. I saw tall centerpieces full of greens, whites, and champagnes to add a special texture to the room. When it came to all of my decor, I gave creative license to my vendors. Bella Fiori designed what I called, “my trees”. These extravagant centerpieces with winding branches all the way up to my flowers; they were the most amazing pieces I had ever seen. My bouquet was huge and full or greens and champagnes, the texture was memorizing in it. My girls’ flowers were a smaller version or my bouquet and I gave smaller bouquets to my mother and mother-in-law instead of corsages; they loved this detail. The boys had twine wrapped boutineers that everyone loved! The greenery and flowers were critical to the overall feel we were going for.

Clarks Landing is full or beautiful finishes, lighting, chandeliers, and paintings; and that is only in the ballroom.  I didn’t feel an overwhelming need to do a tremendous amount of extra decorating because I felt it would take away from what I loved so much about this venue upon my very first visit! Instead, we accented the already beautiful space. The pergola set up outside where my husband and I said I do, was beautifully set up with  flowers and lanterns with candles for our mothers to light during the ceremony.

My family and extended family, and years later my husband all run franchises – specifically Dunkin’! We had our kitchen put together apple cider donuts to give away at the end of the night. We also requested to serve Dunkin’ coffee throughout the night and added little signs to each table that said, “Coffee Sponsored by Dunkin’! We also were able to have the groomsmen arrive by boat. That was really the selling point for my husband, Steven. When he learned he could arrive by boat and they could ring the bell to announce their arrival – sold. Lastly. my mother’s very dear fiend Gloria Gaynor shocked the crown when she got up to sing her original hit “I Will Survive”. It was glorious and such an amazing surprise when I head the beginning of that song only to see Gloria standing up there singing! The entire wedding broke out on to the dance floor, it was an incredible experience.
