It’s safe to say, this wedding at Seasons Catering may be one of the most creative and flawlessly executed celebrations we ever seen. Maria and Joe looked to things they love for inspiration that truly captured each of their personalities. They not only decided to focus on their favorite colors of navy blue and hot pink, but also managed to balance Joe’s love for baseball and Maria’s passion for all things girly throughout each and every detail. The end result? PURE MAGIC! The baseball ticket-style escort cards, baseball bat guest book table, New York Yankee-themed table numbers, and stunning tablescapes are just a few of our favorite details from their wedding day. There was something completely unexpected at every turn and it was all captured by John Agnello Photography.
The bride carried a traditional bouquet of ivory and white roses with rhinestone embellishments. She also opted to add wedding pictures of both sets of her grandparents, which were added to the hand-tied stems.
The Proposal: Joey had recently started a new job and told me that his boss was hosting an event. Joey told me to make sure to get all dressed up for this event! Joey took me to Hoboken, where the “event” was scheduled to take place. When we arrived, Joey pretended to get a call from his boss. Joey told me that his boss was running late and that we should go take a walk near the water until his boss arrived. Joey took me to a spot overlooking New York City… the same spot we had visited after our first date. Joey shocked me when he pulled out a stunning princess cut diamond ring and asked me to marry him. I could not believe it! I was so happy, but the surprises were not over! Joey then took me from Hoboken to Waterside Restaurant in North Bergen, NJ. Many of our close friends and family were waiting to celebrate our engagement. It was a day full of surprise, excitement, and so much joy!
Bride & Groom’s favorite memory of the day: Seeing each other for the first time at Church of the Assumption as Maria walked down the aisle was the newlyweds’ favorite memory of the day.
Do you have any advice for couples that are planning their wedding? Do not let the small stuff stress you out. Things may not go perfectly at first, but do not let anything ruin your day! Remember what is important- the marriage and the love you share.
