If you’re obsessed with the color pink (and all things girly) as much as we are here at Contemporary Bride, you’re in for a real treat today. Jennifer and Robert’s wedding is exploding with love and a vibrant color palette that’s as bright as a hot summer day. Get ready to fall head over heels for this petty in pink wedding packed with steal-worthy details, all captured perfectly by John Arcara Photography.
“I had my something blue “I Do” on the bottom.”
“Our invitations invitation set the tone for the wedding and were hand made by Stephanie Somodi Designs. They were cream colored with lace and accented with pink ribbon. Our JennifeRobert logo was used as the seal to stick with the theme.”
“My absolute favorite detail of my wedding! It was customized with our logo and some glitter was added to the “R” to make it stand out more. It was laid out in the church for everyone to see as they entered the church with a sign that said ‘As two families become one, please choose a seat and not a side’. Rose petals also covered the runner up to the altar.”
“I did not want to do the traditional tossing of rice or balloons [as we exited the church] and bubbles were not a good idea for my satin dress, so I decided to use ribbon wands. They looked so pretty as everyone waved them as we walked out the church. It definitely made the pictures very unique and beautiful!”
Even though the weather wasn’t cooperating as hoped for, the couple didn’t let the rain interfere with their special day or wedding portraits, which were taken at Monmouth University. John and Lovina of John Arcara Photography captured the day’s events beautifully in a photojournalistic style from the morning preparations to the ceremony and throughout the reception. “John and Lovina couldn’t have made us feel more comfortable,” shared the groom. Jennifer and Robert were equally pleased working with Krystle Clear Productions, who caught the wedding on film.
Upon visiting the Grand Marquis for the first time, Jennifer and Robert were welcomed with open arms and knew this was the facility to host their reception. “Jodi, Larry, and Lauren assured me our day would be nothing but the best. The staff went above and beyond. Everything we requested was done better than my expectations,” commented the bride. “The service could not have been any better,” added Robert.
Following their first dance as newlyweds to “More Than Anyone” by Gavin DeGraw, Mission Dance got the party started with live entertainment.
“Our cake topper [designed by Toppers with Glitz] was made all of swavorski crystals in different shades of pink and orange. It sparkled from across the room and gave the cake exactly what it needed!”
The Proposal: Bobby proposed on January 5, 2011 at Monmouth University. After class, we would always meet on the steps of Wilson Hall. We hadn’t been back to Monmouth since we both graduated. I thought we were going to pick up basketball tickets and next thing I knew we were walking up the steps of Wilson Hall. I was completely shocked and beyond excited. It brought back so many memories and it couldn’t have been more perfect! After, both of our families awaited our arrival at the restaurant Sirena in Pier Village. It was one of the best nights of my life.
Bride’s favorite memory of the day: Throughout the day, I made sure I took a step back to enjoy the day and take everything in. I wouldn’t say one particular moment was my favorite memory, but the whole day was a dream come true and the best memory of all.
Groom’s favorite memory of the day: Seeing my wife, Jenn walk down the aisle in her dress.
What was the most exciting part of planning your wedding? The most exciting part of planning my wedding was thinking about every little detail and putting personal touches in to make sure my guests saw a part of us and enjoyed our day as much as we knew we would.
Do you have any advice for couples that are planning their wedding? Enjoy every moment.
What are you currently enjoying or looking forward to as a couple? I am most excited about living together. We waited until after we were married to live together in our new home. This will give us a whole bunch of new experiences and was worth the wait!
