London is a charming city located just across the pond and it just so happens to be a destination that holds a special place in Jenell and Sean’s heart. After this couple’s love reached an all new level, Jenell and Sean decided it was time to move in together and build a life abroad. Unfortunately when they tied the knot during a civil ceremony in “The City of Dreams”, most of their loved ones were not able to attend, so Jenell and Sean chose to bring a taste of London to their New Jersey wedding at the Berkeley Plaza. The end result? A magical fête that tells a beautiful story of Jenell and Sean’s journey of love captured by Dean Michaels Studio.
Finding the perfect wedding gown was a fairly easy process for Jenell. After trying on three dresses, she immediately knew the ivory lace gown with sweetheart neckline and dramatic train, designed by Pronovias, was the dress for her.
Jenell’s bridesmaids wore floor-length Amsale chiffon dresses in French blue.
“I grew up in Berkeley Heights so I had gone to the Berkeley Plaza for other events over the years and have always been impressed,” Jenell shared. In addition, the couple fell in love with the facility for its grand ballroom with elegant lighting and delectable food that never disappointed.
The Proposal: “Sean proposed to me in Paris on December 15, 2012 at an amazing French restaurant. He had the ring hidden in a puff pastry dessert! I was so excited the ring was so beautiful and the whole thing was so romantic! I knew Sean was the one for me towards the end of the summer of 2010 but our love reached an all new level and grew stronger when we moved to London together in March of 2012. We became closer than ever through sharing so many experiences and building a life together abroad.”
Bride’s favorite memory of the day: Every moment big or small contributed to the best day of my life. I can’t pick one moment in particular. It went by so fast I keep trying to relive it in my mind! The entire day and experience is my favorite memory!
Groom’s favorite memory of the day: Sharing their first dance as newlyweds to “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts was Sean’s favorite memory of the day.
Do you have any advice for couples that are planning their wedding? The day comes and goes so quickly enjoy it as much as possible!
