For ALL Couples Getting Married

If you’ve ever been to the Adirondack Mountains, you already know there’s a quaint romance that resides in this particular area of New York. And if you have never been to Bolton Landing, well, this wedding is surely going to make you want to pack your bags to head for the hills. From the idyllic setting of The Sagamore Resort boasting a secluded waterside backdrop to the pastel florals, enchanting Martina Liana lace bridal gown, and tablescapes dressed to the nines, there’s so many details we can’t get enough. See it all for yourself from L. Hewitt Photography below.

From L. Hewitt Photography…Victoria and Chad wanted a picturesque wedding with their family and friends. They wanted many candids as well as photos of them together. There were many sweet moments between the couple that just annunciated their love for each other!

Lake George holds a very special place in our hearts. My family spends every summer up in Lake George, and Chad and I have been visiting every summer since we first started dating. Not only is the lake breathtakingly beautiful, there is just something about the way it makes us feel that can’t be explained. Once we got engaged, we knew instantly that we would have our wedding in Lake George. We are both Catholic and have an appreciation for small, ornate, historic churches, so we couldn’t have been happier when we discovered Sacred Heart Church in the middle of Lake George Village. We loved that Leah captured the ornate details of the church. The chapel was beautiful and we were fortunate to have our family priest, Father James Ebert, serve as the officiant for our wedding. Initially, I didn’t have a particular theme in mind, but once I found my wedding dress, I used it as inspiration for the rest of the wedding décor. My dress was a nude lace strapless wedding dress with lace cap sleeves from Martina Liana. It was the perfect combination of timeless, ethereal and vintage style, so I knew I wanted our wedding theme to compliment it. For our reception venue, we chose the Sagamore Resort for its spectacular view, and Victorian era feel. I chose a garden theme, using tall arrangements of greenery, and touches of greenery throughout. In addition to the greenery, I chose a soft palette of light pinks, ivory, and white.

I have always loved the King Protea flower for its unique beauty, so I wanted to incorporate it into my bouquet and the overall florals for the wedding. We lucked out that our florist received a beautiful batch of King Proteas the week of our wedding, and the color matched the soft pink color I wanted to incorporate into the wedding. I also incorporated anenomes to have a pop of blue to match the blue groomsmen attire.   I also wanted the space to feel organic, and have a garden feel, so I incorporated tall green arrangements for centerpieces.

I have an appreciation for vintage items, so I tried to incorporate vintage items throughout the décor. I used a vintage mirror for our seating chart, vintage candle holders, vintage trunk for our cards, and vintage frames for table numbers, family pictures and our welcome sign.
