Choosing a facility to host their ceremony and reception was an easy decision for the couple. Being an event consultant at The Estate at Florentine Gardens, Michael already knew the professionalism of the staff and the even quality they would receive. In addition, Chef Jamie was accommodating to not only Rachel’s allergy to gluten, but more than happy to incorporate Rachel’s requests of seafood and healthy choices within their menu. “Michael and I are true foodies and we were blown away,” noted the bride.

The Proposal: He proposed the night before Thanksgiving at his best friend’s restaurant named Prime in Long Island. It was in a private area in front of a very large fire place. I was really surprised!
Bride’s favorite memory of the day: During the reception, Michael surprised Rachel by singing “Come to Me” by The Goo Goo Dolls, making this her favorite memory from the wedding.
Groom’s favorite memory of the day: Seeing Rachel for the first time.
Advice for engaged couples: Take a pre-honeymoon a couple weeks before the wedding. It was the best thing we did. All the stress of planning disappeared when we went to San Diego for a week. It was a true blessing.
