Amy and Patrick met through the help of a mutual friend at work in April 2007. The two began dating and Patrick decided to make their love official the night before leaving for their Caribbean cruise vacation. As Amy entered Patrick’s condominium, he handed her a poem, got down on one knee and asked Amy to be his wife. After she happily accepted, the two spent the rest of the evening calling family and friends telling them the good news.

After an elegant ceremony, guests headed to the Lake Valhalla Club to celebrate the couple’s nuptials. From the English Tudor architecture including a large ballroom, vaulted ceiling, and intimate fireplaces to the well maintained landscaping, beautiful lake view, and a personable staff, the couple knew this facility was the perfect location to host their reception. “Our day was amazing and the setting really contributed to the overall atmosphere,” noted Patrick.

For dessert, guests indulged in the three-tiered wedding cake, a Venetian table, and a Mets themed groom’s cake that was a surprise to the groom from his bride. “The staff at Lake Valhalla treated us like family. They were accommodating and everyone from the maitre d’ down to each individual server and bartender was excellent,” the couple agreed.

Dave and Tami of The Studio Photographers captured the wedding with several unique shots. From the pictures taken throughout Lake Valhalla, in the rowboat, on the pier, by the bonfire, and throughout the celebration, Amy and Patrick were not disappointed with their photographs.

When asked what the most exciting part of planning the wedding was, Amy commented, “Choosing and creating the details of our wedding including an escort card tree, menu cards, and decor for the reception.” Patrick said, “The anticipation of seeing our family and friends on our wedding day that live far away that we don’t get to see often.”
