When Jazmin and Daniel first met in 2005 at Rutgers University, Daniel shared that he will always remember the first time he laid eyes on Jazmin. “I ran into one of my fraternity brothers on campus who was working with a Hispanic organization completing a cultural dance for their upcoming program. I decided to peek in on the rehearsal and that’s when I saw Jazmin.” Following the event, Daniel and Jazmin went out to a club with mutual friends. They continued to spend time together, but their feelings didn’t develop into a relationship for almost a year of being good friends.
When the couple began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a Latin feel, great entertainment, and a location that encompassed a Spanish atmosphere. When Jazmin and Daniel visited The Bethwood for the first time, they were immediately impressed with the beautifully maintained landscaping, red brick archways, and a staff that was kind and helpful. In addition, Jazmin and Daniel liked how The Bethwood offered an onsite ceremony location.
The ceremony was held in the chapel at The Bethwood and although the couple’s garden ceremony got moved inside due to the rain, the room was decorated beautifully and the service went smoothly. Jazmin walked down the aisle wearing a diamond white, satin Casa Blanca gown with intricate beading and crystal buttons down the back. Jazmin and Daniel decided to write their own vows and after exchanging rings, the couple was finally pronounced as husband and wife.
Following a beautiful ceremony, the guests headed to cocktail hour while Abacus Wedding Studios continued to capture flawless formal pictures in a photojournalistic style. The bride noted, “Abacus understood what we were looking for. They took pictures that caught each moment perfectly.”
Guests mingled and socialized during cocktail hour and enjoyed a variety of food from coconut shrimp, quesadillas, paella, miniature crab cakes, California rolls, and lobster display. Dinner choices included a choice of roast prime rib of beef or chicken francaise. The wedding cake, designed by Le Petit Gateau, was four-tiered with an aqua ribbon around the bottom of each tier, embellished with bundles of sugar calla lilies. It consisted of a variety of flavors including red velvet with cream cheese and yellow cake with cannoli cream and chocolate gnocchi. Jazmin and Daniel both agreed that their wedding cake was exactly how they envisioned it. “The staff at The Bethwood made sure everything went according to schedule and went smoothly,” noted the groom.
Izzy of Viva Entertainment had guests dancing to a variety of Latino music including classic salsa, meringue, and house music. After hearing him perform at another wedding, they knew from the moment they began planning their wedding that he was going to be their disc jockey. Being a professional ballroom dancer, Jazmin choreographed a Rumba routine making their first dance unique and an unforgettable moment. The newlyweds shocked their guests as they danced together to “All My Life” by KC and JoJo.
Once the celebration ended, Jazmin and Daniel escaped to Maui, Hawaii for their honeymoon. The newlyweds are currently enjoying their time together as husband and wife. Daniel noted, “I love the fact that I have someone to come home to.” Jazmin added, “Since we don’t get every day with one another due to our opposite schedules, when we get days off together we appreciate our time together more.”
