Personal touches, a picturesque location, and a sweet love story is what makes this wedding so beautiful. You know, those picture perfect weddings you come across on Pinterest that are complete with some of the most spectacular details. From the draped ceremony space and cocktail hour dedicated to their love of baseball to the romantic barn reception, Ashley and Justin’s wedding at Richardson Farms will leave you inspired for days. Each and every detail featured the perfect amount of vintage elegance and lucky for us, Amy Carroll Photography was there to capture every moment.
With a beautifully landscaped backdrop amid a serene countryside, Ashley and Justin couldn’t have thought of a more perfect facility to host their ceremony and reception. After Ashley’s older sister stumbled upon The Barn at Richardson Farm, the two quickly fell in love with everything the facility had to offer. Not only did the locale have a blank canvas which Ashley and Justin could easily transform into their own unique wedding, but they also loved how its vintage and historical details added so much character and contrast to the bride’s overall vision.
Following a heartfelt ceremony under a “clouded” tent where the evening’s festivities took place, a curtain was pulled back to reveal and invite guests to a delightful cocktail hour dedicated to their love of baseball and Justin’s dad [who just happens to be the HOF and manager of the Phillies]. “Baseball has been a huge part of my husband’s life and we were glad to incorporate it into our wedding reception,” shared Ashley. A custom-made antique scoreboard and gourmet versions of some of their ballpark favorites were all the rage. Philly cheesesteaks, lobster tail corn dogs, duck confit nachos, sweet potato ice-cream cones garnished with cotton candy, and crab-dip-stuffed soft pretzels were just a few of the options guests enjoyed.
To incorporate an elegant and rustic vibe, Ashley and Justin hired Vintage Affairs, who provided eight-foot farm tables and mismatched china for their head table, as well as props for their custom photo booth built from an old door and beautiful chandeliers. “The whiskey bar was my favorite,” added Justin. “We had two old barrels that made the legs and used an old door as the bar top.
