There are endless reasons why this wedding is so amazing, but if we could only give one, it would be how Alicia and Christopher’s personality can be seen through each and every detail! Of course we love weddings that exude all the pretty elements, but some of our favorites are those that tell a story. Today you’re in luck. This romantic wedding at The Rockleigh captured by Just ASC Photography is the perfect combination of fun, fabulous, and of course dreamy! We’re talking a show stopping San Patrick wedding gown, beautiful florals, a stunning setting, a choreographed father/daughter dance and so much more!
“Chris went with my father and had my engagement ring personally designed for me. No one else will ever have my exact ring! It is a princess cut diamond in a square setting with a cutout on the bottom.”
“I was standing there so nervous because everyone was looking at me and then I heard Alicia’s voice, but couldn’t look backward until I was told. I waited for her to touch my back and then when I turned around, I looked at the woman of my dreams in amazement. She looked perfect in every which way.”
The Proposal: Chris proposed on September 1, 2012. It was Labor Day Weekend at my shore house in Ortley Beach, NJ. Around 4pm he asked me if I wanted to go up to the beach to watch the sunset. We brought a blanket, a bottle of wine and two red solo cups. After about 10 minutes, he proposed in TRUE Chris fashion. For years he would always be cute with me and would say, “Lee, when are you going to marry me?” My response was always the same, “When you ask me for real!” So he turned to me and said, “Alicia, when are you going to marry me?” and as I turned around to face him I said “When you ask me for…..” and then I saw it, MY RING! “Well, I am asking you for real”, he said. AH! YES, YES, YES! After that, we walked back to the house to find my family and some friends waiting for us with glasses of champagne and tons of food! I was the happiest girl in the world!
Bride’s favorite memory of the day: I have TWO favorite memories of the day; the first was right after we were pronounced husband and wife, Chris and I walked down the aisle, all smiles and ready for the party ahead of us. As we got a little further down the aisle, I turned to face my grandmother and she decided to throw the entire cone and petals right at me! They all hit me in the face and then the cone got stuck to my dress! It made Chris and I both laugh and totally started the party. The second is my dance with my father. We danced to a slow song at first but then danced over 3 minutes to a choreographed face-paced dance. We had taken dance lessons and everything! All 203 guests were on their feet, clapping and recording the entire thing! My father was smiling throughout the entire dance! It was just the best feeling in the world!
Groom’s favorite memory of the day: Alicia and I had a moment alone in the bridal suite right after we said I do. It was just me and her and it felt special and different. We were husband and wife and it all seemed so real at that moment.
Do you have any advice for couple’s that are planning their wedding? always go with your heart. You know what you want your day to be like, so stick to that and do not let others opinions get in your way. It’s about you and him… and that is all!
