For ALL Couples Getting Married

With temps cooling down here in New Jersey, we can’t help but to get excited for winter weddings! (Yes, they can be just as beautiful as spring and summer soirees.) Case in point? This winter bay wedding at Bonnet Island Estate captured through the lens of Molly McElenney Photography. The burgundy, white, and green color palette is done oh-so-right, and the day was filled with personalized, steal-worthy details. From the invitation suite and ceremony decor, right down to the seating chart, signature drink sign, and too pretty to eat cake decorated with cascading florals. Plus, the couple totally rocked their portrait session and even incorporated some fun, unexpected snow! Take a peek at the gallery below.

From Molly McElenney Photography…Djaniella and Kyle have always had an affection for snow. They love being cold, they love their ice cream, and they LOVE snow!!! They always wanted a snowy wedding day, but as we all know, they couldn’t guarantee the weather would cooperate. Regardless, they made sure the snow made an appearance somehow! [To start] Guests opened invitations filled with snow sprinkles.

Djaniella donned an exquisite gown with intricate beading, plunge-neckline, and illusion back with detailing and buttons. She accessorized with a fur coat to include that wintery feeling, a cathedral-length veil, and rhinestone headpiece.

For their chapel ceremony at Bonnet Island Estate, the couple opted for an unplugged service, which allowed guests to be fully in the moment as they exchanged vows. A garland and floral arch beautifully accented the beginning of the aisle, while the fireplace was accented with romantic candlelight to set the mood for heartfelt vows. Confetti filled cones were handed out to loved ones to toss as the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle. Talk about a celebratory photo opportunity!

Following the ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. took portraits throughout the grounds. With such magical golden hour light, you wouldn’t even think it was a cold day in February!

The reception took place in the main ballroom boasting windows with scenic water views, where the couple surprised guests with the most epic first dance complete with SNOW!
